yeah right. she slept with nate, who was her bff’s boyfriend at that time. she once thought she killed some one (!!!).i mean. WTF?! she still parties like hell and she lies to EVERYBODY. she always claims to feel so sorry but if she’s really so sorry she should stop doing things like that. she was with trip. she sleeps with everybody and no one cares.

and jenny? what about when jenny humiliated vanessa with that dress. she tried to stop it because she felt so bad about it. at least jenny feels bad about things afterwards. apparently, i don’t think serena really does.
or when jenny was with damien. i think she was just with him because she thought he cared about her and because it was exciting. serena slept with him as well. she’s the slut.

and i don’t think serena has more good qualities. you can actually trust in jenny. you can’t trust serena at all. how can you trust somebody who always lies to you or hides something from you?

but i do agree that jenny dresses really badly lately (and just lately). who cares? serena did in a lot of episodes as well.

for one, remember when they were playing assassin and serena was getting all mad at nate because he was hanging out with jenny a lot lately? then nate told serena about how agnes put something in jenny’s drink and then yadda yadda yadda but serena’s face softens up and starts to feel bad for jenny? she was like, “omg is she okay”
she was just slamming jenny and all of a sudden she cares?
i also have a bad feeling that, in this episode, serena will push william to fight for lily, which will obviously ruin rufus’ and lily’s relationship. i mean, their relationship is already bad enough with trust issues..in a way, serena is JUST like her mother. their lives are all about men and when you think about it–when was the last time EITHER of them have been single? it’s kind of sad.
and true–jenny has been doing some pretty “bad” things like lying to nate about not hearing serena’s message or stuff like that. and i know jenny’s kind of catching on to that “constantly lying” kind of thing but she just needs a slap in the face or something that will really affect her so she can stop be a wannabe and go back to the jenny we all used to like. i mean, how could you not like the 9th grader jenny, without all the black eyeshadow and stuff? and i think that when nate kicked her out it was the good dose of reality that she needed.
a lot of people are comparing jenny and serena and i can see why–obviously they’re not the best of friends, lol.
but jenny’s a junior now so i think i can see why her character would want everyone to stop thinking that she’s so young, because a lot of other characters refer to her as “a kid”…
can’t wait for this episode!!

i’m glad to see that there are some people thinking the same way about serena. you’re so right about serena.
and i really liked jenny this episode. the first season of gossip girl played when chuck/blair/nate/serena were all about jenny’s age. and no one ever said they were kids. but they acted like kids all the way sometimes. so i think people should see in jenny who she really is. a clever young lady who sometimes isn’t fully grown-up. no one is ever fully grown-up at all though.
and serena gets more of a bitch every episode. and she really is childish.

hmm. i hope jenny just “gets slaped in the face” like you said. she really is a good girl who is sometimes making the wrong decisions. serena is actually a bad person who makes people believe she is good. it’s really like that. i want to slap her.

The thing about Gossip Girl is that all the characters (with the possible exception of Rufus and Dan) do bad things. But they always get paid back for the bad things they do. Jenny’s getting some pay back now for trying to separate Nate and Serena. Serena will get her pay back if she tries to split up Lily and Rufus.

Although thinking about it Serena hasn’t really suffered for sleeping with the married man (Tripp) yet. I mean she got in a car crash but everyone rushed to her bedside. Maybe she’s owed a little pay-back then….

Serena may have been a slut before but she’s changed now and that’s what matters. Jenny has always been a bad girl, disobeying her dad and trying to steal her stepsister’s boyfriend? what the heck is that. she’s just 16 but she looks like a drug addict or something. well nate is a whore too. it’s not that i hate nate. it’s just true. plus he got what he deserved. serena never gets what she deserves. it’s like everything she does is okay. it’s not.

i can’t think good about serena. she’s a total bitch/whore and worst of all she is a liar. in every episode she lies to somebody. but yet, she claims to have changed. i don’T understand why anybody would trust her anymore.
so you think it’s okay what serena did because trip wanted it as well? i guess not. there are always 2 people who need to do that. so it wasn’t all trips fault. sure, he could have done that with anyone. but he did it with serena because she was willing. lily told her it was bad. everybody told her it was bad. and she still went to see him and acted like everything would be fine. they were both doing bad things. but at least serena could have stopped.

That’s not true, Serena did always gets the consequences with her actions. did you forgot her mother sending her to prison to stop her and to teach her a lesson. And of course with blaire/nate, she work for blaire’s forgiveness and she stayed away for nate even if nate is wandering over her. She got an accident for fighting for tripp, isn’t that enough for you? Tripp did it with Serena because she loves him. While Jenny on the other hand knows that Nate love Serena and she’s still meddling with the relationship. Whatever Jenny’s consequences where I think she deserves it as well as what Serena had received. And as for the lying part, I too lies. Don’t you? She have good reasons why she lies. And even if she lies, in the end she always choose to confessed with the person/s involve. And oh just because you didn’t told the whole story means you lied.

her mother sending her to prison was pretty much some issue of lily and not an actual punishment. and about sleeping with nate? would ever want to talk to your “bff” again if she had slept with the boy you loved and thought was perfect? actually that wasn’t a punishment at all. because she was rather lucky that blair forgave her and nate and her could be friends again.
she didn’t got and accident because she was fighting FOR trip. she was fighting WITH trip. that’s a huge difference. everything serena thinks about is having a boyfriend. she doesn’t seem to care about a good relationship cause she is always the one lying to her significant other.
and. she was not, in no way, in love with trip. she always says and thinks that way to early. exactly like lilly.
but when jenny makes a wrong decision it seems like everyone dashes on her or she gets humiliated. or threathend like a little kid. she isn’t a little kid anymore. she is as old as serena was in season 1, when nobody even thought about serena being a kid although she acted like one.
and no, i never lie. since i think you can’t have a relationship or a friend if you lie to him/her. this is my strong confiction. and i don’t think somebody EVER has a reason to lie. the world would be a much better place if no one lied. but i do know jenny lied to people before. i don’t claim jenny to be perfect. but serena is bad and everybody seems to think she is a good girl when really she isn’t.
and last but not least. serena never tells a whole story on her own at all if it doesn’t help her in her own egoistic way. and she always lies. like seriously. ALWAYS. even to her father because she thinks otherwise he wouldn’t like her and she has to seem like a better person. at least i think she’s sure about one thing. he won’t like her for being a bad girl. even though he is an azz.

I love Blair’s dress. And I read the some of the comments above, and I agree that both Serena and J have their faults. Little J was good, but still naive in the first season. Season 2 was just her testing her independence and being rebellious. Now, in Season 3 she’s out to destruct and do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Serena can be a bit flashy, but she can still be a good friend. So overall, every character comes with the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sometimes you love them, sometimes you hate them.

Please, Nate&Blair were boring as hell and had no chemistry whatsoever.

Now, Serena is usually a good girl, and it’s not like she hasn’t suffered for her mistakes (a lot), but I will never understand why she always resorts to lying. She makes messes out of things that wouldn’t be that messy at all.

Now, Jenny is not one bit better, if anything she’s worse. At least Serena always tries to be a good friend even if she can’t manage the girlfriend-part. Jenny on the other hand doesn’t care about anyone except the guy she wants. And I don’t really think that’s really ‘caring’ because she doesn’t really seem to be concerned with HIS happiness.
And so far, she has not faced the consequences.

Someone mentioned all the characters have done bad stuff except for Rufus and Dan: I don’t think that’s true. The show WANTS to have them be the good guys, but they act as dumb as the others. And on top of that, always think of themselves as the good guys.

I’m happy with the Dan/Vanessa-separate storylines so far, because neither is terribly interesting to me.
Dan especially is a character I just can’t like: since the season 1 finale. He almost-or-whatever slept with Georgina, a girl he barely knew, because his girlfriend was distant – and obviously had some serious troubles.

I’m not saying Serena wasn’t wrong or behaved incredibly stupid – she did. But when Dan ‘lowers’ himself on her level, he absolutely cannot still be morally superior and I hated how he didn’t even think he was wrong.

I sometimes envy Blair because she has a humble and caring friend who usually stands

well, actually blair is the JEALOUS girl rather than serena. They had a lot of fights at season 2 and 1 but
mostly 2. Serena is quite a good friend but i’d rather have blair as a friend than serena because Blair
has the latest gossip and everything, she’s hilarious and she also cares for her friend. So.. Blair over
Serena and Serena over Jenny (cuz she doesn’t care if you love someone, if he’s on her radar then she’ll
probably do EVERYTHING to take him away from you).

A really sweet thing to do.
I think their relationship could have been good if Jack hadn’t come and done everything in his power to make Chuck as miserable as possible – seriously, that seemed to be his overall goal after all.

thats extremely true but did chuck do the “Columbia transfer” thingy b4 they break up? that
doesnt really change anything but you can understand that that was one of the stuff he did
for blair to get her back. Jack really did mess up the relationship and he was there to
ruin chuck’s life and that includes Blair so.. Well, the producers probably did that break up
cuz i read an article about the relationship between chuck and blair. they thought that the
viewers would get bored if chuck and blair were living happily ever after but they also thought
that if they broke them up, people would wind and get mad. thats entirely true i suppose. but
you know, they were like husband and wife and they werent like season 1. it was all like
thrilling in season 1-2 but in season 3, it was romantic but boring..

I think he did it before they broke up – well, it shows that their relationship wasn’t as bad for Blair as she seemed to believe last episode, where she thought he only brought out the worst in her.

I don’t think that’s true, actually. What Chuck did was pretty messed up, but then he was extremely messed up at the time, I think he just couldn’t think straight anymore.

He needs to learn where his boundaries are and Blair needs to learn to stand up for herself and not rely too heavily on her boyfriend, when they get back together after that they will be perfect for each other.

And yeah, they were totally boring in S3 but I think that’s mostly the writers fault. Couples can be happy without being boring on other shows, like Seth/Summer on the OC, or I don’t know, Nathan/Hayley on OTH. They also managed not to date everybody in their group. And even when separate, they didn’t immediately move on to the next person.

I think GG relies too heavily on bringing new people to date into the show – I think Jenny was about the only character who is allowed to stay single – really single, without trying to get someone, getting over someone, fighting for someone – for a long period. (Well, not anymore).

to HAVE someone while they are trying to make their ex-bf-gf’s
jealous!! they ALWAYS want them to get jealous! Jenny has also
changed but she doesnt try to like make someone (nate) jealous

she breaks up with chuck and BOOM! Cameron from Columbia
is telling her “Im game if you are, do you want to make that guy
JEALOUS or what?!” i mean come on! how fast is that ?! serena is the worst!
Remember when nate wanted to go single to this party and she called
the guy from boarding school (slept with him) to make him her date.
she obviously wanted to make him JEALOUS cuz she slept with nate
in the place where they kept jackets and the party was still GOING ON!
