Yes, my avid readers. Gossip Girl is preparing for their last hurrah.

While many of you are probably going out of your mind and thinking that May will be the last time you will be watching your favorite characters on TV, please relax. There will be a sixth Season, as long as no new TV show beats them off the air come Fall. But, I’m saddened to tell you guys that the producers have decided to probably shorten the sixth Season, just like this years One Tree Hill Season 9. They want to give the show a proper goodbye that it sure enough deserves and that can only be achieved by bringing it back and writing a Series Finale.

The stars are all under contract for another year, so we shouldn’t expect any of the Upper East Siders to leave just yet. The reason that the Network and Producers have decided to show a reduced number of episodes is because the ratings have dropped significantly and much less people watch the show ever since Season 3.

I do have to agree that the show has somewhat lost its touch after the success of the first two Seasons. Maybe you guys agree, or disagree, but Season 5 has been the worst one thus far. Even though Blair gets married, she reunites with Chuck for a little bit, there’s nothing that absolutely wowed me except for Georgina’s Hurricane. It lessened the importance of a few main characters and it created relationships that make no sense and aren’t accepted by many of the loyal viewers and fans.

The glory simply ended when High School ended and the characters were off to “find themselves”. The drama was reduced significantly because they are no longer in the same environment at the same time where they can take each other down more easily and their interest in Gossip Girl was somewhat lost. At least that’s what I think and feel.
