I’m very aware that the Magazine is probably being taken off the stands as we speak, since July is partially over and the August issues are pressed and ready to go. Nonetheless I wanted to comment on the amazing photo spread that Blake Lively did for Marie Claire.

First Picture: Dress Marios Schwab; bra Rituel by Carine Gilson. 

Is this not such a perfect look? It gives off a very calm and serene vibe as well as looking super elegant and innocent at the same time. Why? Well first off its an off white/grey-ish color and secondly it’s lace. There is nothing more elegant than a lace dress, paired with some classy jewelry, as for example, this choker and cocktail ring. Her hair is swept over her left shoulder and her make-up is enhanced with a cat-eye and some bronzer.

 

 

 

Look 2: Dress Jenny Packham; shoes Giuseppe Zanotti Design; ring & bracelet Lorraine Schwartz.

This is a stunner, not just the photo in itself or the set but the actual look. I love the edgy and body hugging long gown as well as the metallic black color of it. The set is also very modern with fringy curtains to create some movement. But the biggest stunner is the heel. I mean seriously, have you seen a more beautiful shoe recently? The simple black Stiletto with a major cutout on the sides and then decked in a bejeweled T-Strap? Wow. Her hair is slightly tousled and the make-up will most likely be the same as in the picture before.

 

Look 3: Dress Jenny Packham.

Here a close up shot of the lovely Lively. As you can see the dress is bedazzled and not just a sheath of metallic and her make-up is kept low key. I love Black and White Shots and especially ones where you’ve got lots of contrasts running along the persons face and body.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Look 4: Bodysuit Dolce & Gabbana; skirt Calvin Klein Collection; necklace Lorraine Schwartz.

I die for this. Not only is is sexy but at the same time so classy. Bustiers have been all the rave ever since Dolce and Gabbana presented them last Fall and it’s only customary that their bustier is worn by Blake on the shoot. I love the leather mixed with the cotton and then a fishnet skirt draped over it. The halter neck creates a 60′s vibe whereas the thick chained necklace brings us back to today’s era. Lastly, she wraps her hands in her hair to perfect the sexy look.

 

 

 

 

Look 5: On eyes: L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Bronzed Taupe.
