The Hollywood Reporter says that one of Gossip Girl’s former recurring guest stars has just landed a part in the Les Miserables cast. The movie adaptation is expected to be filming this year, as it has a release date for December 2012.

Aaron Tveit is going to play the part of Enjolras, a student activist who leads a revolution. This is definitely going to be something huge for Aaron, as he will be joining actors like Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe, Anne Hathaway and perhaps even Helene Bonham Carter in the project. Though only with a few films to his name — such as Ghost Town and Howl — it is actually an amazing opportunity for the actor to be part of it.

The list of actors and actresses in this film, including Aaron, are expected to be singing and dancing, as Les Miserables is, of course, an adaptation of that Broadway hit.
