I wanted to take some time to discuss the current plot of our favorite show.

First off, and this has been mentioned in a post before, Serena seems like she has nothing going on anymore. She’s alone, no more lovers or hot dates, Blair seems to have put her on the back burner and we haven’t heard about her blogging in a while. So what is our S doing on the Upper East Side? Why have the writers decided to cut her lines and make her smile a few times instead? Is there a major event coming up that will change this situation?

Blair, on the other hand is completely screwed over. First she falls in love with Chuck again, while being with her beloved Prince, then there is some crazy revelation that makes Blair not want to be with Chuck because if she does then he will be killed. But the craziest of it all is that she marries the Prince who wants nothing to do with her anymore. And now our favorite Upper East Sider is falling for DAN HUMPHREY. I’m sorry, but what in goodness gracious were the writers thinking? They’ve hated each other up to Season 4. They do not look cute together. And they certainly won’t last long since they have almost nothing in common.

Chuck is strolling along, as a lovesick puppy and has no idea what to do, except for sleep with Dan’s Publicist. He now finally got the courage to remove Dan from the picture and so hopefully we see him and Blair happily reunited by the end of the Season.

While we’ve discovered Dan’s new calling; being in love with the Queen B, Nate is right there with Serena. No plot, becoming a guest role and dating Serena’s cousin, who looks like she’s 13 and is a cater waiter. So much for taking a step down.

Ivy on the other hand has become a full on crazy person, taking away the Penthouse from Lily and Rufus, hating everyones guts and scheming with Georgina. Georgina has her own storm brewing in the midst. Pretending to be Gossip Girl, playing with Dan, Blair and Chuck and trying to keep up with her ‘family’.

All our Upper East Siders have got some fabulous drama going on, yet somehow it doesn’t seem as dramatic as it used to five years ago. What do you guys think? Agree? Disagree? Anything you’d like to change on the show?

I’ve stopped watching it since….I can’t remember but I haven’t watched it since it started back in January. Why? Because it seems to me the writers are trying to get CHAIR out of the picture. They trying to play up Blair with someone else (Dan) and trying so hard to make it seem appealing. That’s how it seems to me But it isn’t like what Blair and Chuck had, I’m sorry, and it got very annoying. I read what happens in the episodes on this site from time to time to see if CHAIR is back together yet. I think GG is heading to its end.

Gossip Girl isn’t only about CHAIR and now, people only want that. I think that’s the problem. Nate and Serena aren’t doing anything this season, which makes them seem useless to the plot. All season it’s been about Blair being with either Louis, Chuck or Dan and even if I love Blair to death it’s getting a little annoying. I, for one, think that the show needs to go back to where it was in season 3 and 4. Everyone had, in general, an interesting plot. I think that the fact that Jenny isn’t there anymore to spice things up and that Eric is gone too, doesn’t help. Bringing Georgina back wasn’t a great move, she’s being a bitch for no particular reason. Finally, I’m a DAIR shipper and it’s the only thing that seems interesting to me right now. I really did love CHAIR until the middle of season 4, but there has been too much back and forth and the same drama keeps repeating itself between them. I want Chuck to be happy, but also to get a grip because he isn’t the exciting persona he used to be on the show.
