Hey people!

So this just in: Leighton has signed a contract with hair giant Herbal Essences to be their global ambassador. Now, while I may love season 1 Blair’s locks, Leighton’s non-extensioned, natural hair is hardly the stuff of myths.

I mean how does THAT compare to this:

Come on, ADMIT IT. I mean, a make-up label to show off Leighton’s gorgeous face would be perfect but her hair; well I like MY hair more than I like hers and I don’t have 3 stylists to do it. Nuff said.

see your showing Leighton Meester her hair in her natural state without heat or any product in her hair and your showing blake when they used heat by using a curling iron so you cant really compare

Agreed. All of the pictures show Leighton without her hair styled. Although her hair doesn’t look as luscious without all of the “additions,” her hair looks nice when she has it done properly. Blake’s hair is definitely much more styled in that last picture than Leighton’s is in any of the other pictures.

also not having extensions is a good thing, they turn your hair to rubbish if you rely on them to much. Natural hair rocks.

I love leighton’s hair in both pictures where her hair is brown (not blonde though) and I think its gorgeous. blake’s hair is pretty, but i think leighton’s is much prettier!!

Seriosuly Arushi. You’re not the greatest designer in the world. It’s perfectly fine to favor Blake, because I myself do too, but to trash Leighton?!? “My hair looks better and I don’t have three stylists.” Who do you think you are?! And why do you always HAVE to compare Blake and Leighton. They’re both gorgeous girls and each has her own style. Just because Leighton gets chosen by one company does not give you the right to say “I mean how does THAT compare to this.”

Anyways, does it really matter who Companies choose as there brand ambassadors? the only criteria for choosing one is their popularity! and their ability to catch the viwer’s attention..
they may not have considered blake at all, coz they don’t have to!
I have never seen a hair ad where the celebs are not wearing a wig and saying, ” look at my gorgeous hair”!

Also there are a plenty of times when blake’s hair is horrible, she sometimes over bed-heads and when pull it back into that little pony tail thing, which less face it makes her look alot less then fantastic.

Everyone just chillax. Although you may not like Arushi’s methods in writing and expressing herself, and you are attacking her for saying all these ‘harsh’ things, really, is she being too brutal or actually saying what a few of us here are too afraid to say? Sometimes thats what makes posts interesting.
I noticed someone said that the use of XOXO and YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME is pathetic. Well. You obviously must think the show is pathetic, since the show is called Gossip Girl for a bloody reason.
Someone else said that Arushi and no place to lash out at L, and to consider her hair better than L’s. She actually said ‘well I like MY hair more than I like hers’, not anything snooty like ‘my hair is way better’ or anything like that, just that she liked her hair better. I like my hair better than hers. What’s wrong with that?
There are so many writers here now, that it is so hard to find something good to write about. The moment some goss comes out on celeb goss sites, there will be an article here about it! Trust me, I’ve tried writing about other things. Beauty, Fashion, Hair, because those are the only things I can think of to write about, but honestly, no one comments, so I have pretty much given up! But Arushi gets all these hits, so she must be doing something right to have earnt her VIP status.
Seriously, if you ‘hate’ her that much, just don’t read her stuff. Simple as that!

Okay guys. Usually I would freak out and shout but here, I REALLY, REALLY want to make something clear.

I’m not saying Blake is perfect. But whoever says Leighton’s hair is better is being silly. COME ON. You guys know she had extensions in season 1 and as soon as they stopped putting them, her hair started looking average. I’ve got lots of comments about that! I’m not the only one who thinks so.

It’s the same amount of styling here. See the difference?

You know, it’s like saying Monica’s hair was better than Rachel’s. Or Brooke’s hair was better than Peyton’s. Or Lo’s hair was nicer than LC’s. OR Summer’s hair was nicer than Marissa’s!

Which is not to say that the other girls weren’t drop dead gorgeous! In fact, I prefer Brooke and Summer to their nicer haired counterparts!

Actually, not Blake. ANYONE with gorgeous hair should have got this. It’s like…giving Taylor Momsen a campaign for Chanel. You know? Which is not to say I don’t like T Momsen. LOVE HER. But some things just don’t go!

Also, The New York Times called Blake’s hair the new Rachel. that’s THE best compliment anyone’s hair can get. google it.

OH and her competitors were not JUST Blake. It was also Amanda Seyfried! Who has the more friggin gorgeous hair ever! And if you google it, you’ll see they only picked Leighton because her hair is more “attainable” and she’s a brunette. Fekkai or someone should pick up Amanda or Blake. Or BOTH. Woah.

Wow, guys. Sorry but I think this was a major lash out that Arushi doesn’t really deserve.

She’s stating her opinion, and saying that SHE THINKS Blake’s hair is better then Leighton’s and if she thinks that, she should be able to express it.

It’s a discussion site, and you discuss your views.
Personally I think Leighton has very nice hair but no one can trump Blake’s! Then again the company might want someone who is gorgeous but has achievable hair.

The point is, Arushi gets loads of comments on her work, and she’s a good writer. She should be allowed to say what she wants with the rest of us. There’s no such thing as ‘standing up’ to someone, it’s just a difference in opinion. So state it, but don’t start a meaningless lash out.

Maybe they picked Leighton because her hair was healthy. You know, since she doesn’t have extensions or over style her hair. Healthy shiny hair is the most attractive. Or maybe it is a popularity contest and she won. Really though who cares???
