How did you find out about the show Gossip Girl?

I want to ask people of this website on how they first knew about the show Gossip Girl? All you have to do is put your discovery in the comment box and people will read it. I figure it’s nice to know about these experiences since it’s almost the end of Season 2.

“I found out about Gossip Girl about a year ago. I have heard about the show when it premiered season 1 but I thought it was some bad, chick, preppy show. But I heard my friends talk about the season 1 finale and it “wowed” me. I couldn’t believe how good it sounded. So the first thing I did was I got on the internet and the whole season in half a week. It was summer. I stayed in my Pj’s all day! Boy, did I love that half-week! ” – Me, Kim.

I read the book called the A-List and it advertises other books. So then I decided to read the It Girl. Then I found out it is a spinoff of a book called Gossip Girl so I searched it on the internet. I found out there was a show so I watched it. I fell in love with the show from the first episode! I am so glad I picked up that book.

My sister, Katelyn, was obsessed with drama shows like One Tree Hill, The O.C, etc. I always thought it was preppy and girly, so I teased her about it all the time.

But then my other sister’s boyfriend, Justin, got into it. He and my sister discussed it all day, all night. I was annoyed at first.

Then, as I was bored one day, I remembered my sister’s obsession with it, and I decided to try to find the episodes online.

After much searching on Google, this site came into my grasps.

And, well, it was love at first click. <3

I bought Cosmopolitan about 5/6 years ago and the Gossip Girl book came free with the magazine! I read it; fell in love with it and then bought the others in the series!
Then it wasn’t till half way through the series airing in the UK that i found out there was a show; so before season 2 started i searched on google a place to watch the previous episodes and this site came up, thank god!
Now i’m like 9 episodes in front of everyone else in the UK
So, thanks alot!

My brother who is 17 started watching it and then I decided to check it out!!! Thank GOD I DID now I live for tuesdays and in my opinion this was the only really reliable site that I could find and it still is!!!

I had nothing to do and I saw in the tv guide that a new tv-series was going to start here in Holland and it was a succes in the USA, so I waited till it came on tv and started to watch.
I thought at first that it wasn’t that special but I also wanted to know what would happen next. The episode ended and I searched on the internet for responses from fans to know if something exciting was going to happen, then I came on this site. A few days later I was pretty bored so I came again to this site and started to watch. After the third episode I was addicted.
I’m now 13 episodes in front of my friends who always ask me what’s going to happen!=D

some of my friends loved it but i had never seen any of it and frankly didnt want to ! i thought it wld be a late show tht i would see once then never again!

I saw the first episode on TV and LOVED it.
I always loved OTH & The OC so I checked out GG.
I’ve NEVER missed it!! =D It was love at first site with Chuck Bass XD.

Then I was trying to rewatch one episode for some reason a while back and googled something about it and THIS site came up and from then on I was ALWAYS here!!

I found out about it when i went to my family in holland and on friday night after dinner my cousin watched it and i was totally in love with it.But most with Chair. So i went back home, typed : Watch gossip girl in google and then there was this site (: I’m veryvery thankful.

A lot of my friends were talking about it and recommending it, so in our February break I started searching for episodes online, and fell in love with it straight away, becoming obsessed! I found this site through just searching Google for ways to watch online.

I read a few of the books and so when i heard it was a tv series i was really excited but i didnt have the channel n my tv so i couldnt watch it. instead i waited until season 1 had finished and bought the box set, i watched all of them after school in about a week. i loved it the show had started to play over here in england too but i couldnt watch it still because it was a few episodes into season two so i foundthis site and watched all of season two on here…its really good as well because you get it faster here than waiting for it to come out on tv in england.

I was curious about the books, and I didn’t like them. But I decided to try the show cause I was curious: I knew the Serena/NAte/Blair thing would not be enough to carry a show, and that the one-dimensional characters and storylines would make a bad show.

I watched the season finale of Season 1 and the premiere ep of Season 2 and fell in love with Chair.

i watched the first couple episode on tv here and there, but never really got into it. untill one day i youtubed the chair couple and realized how cute they were <3 from then on, i couldn’t get enough of them, i want more of the CHAIR couple!!

I was searching on the internet for ways to make my school uniform look nicer and i heard about Gossip Girl. I started watching it, i love it now.However to be honest i don’t like the name of the show, it’s a little embarrasing to tell people about it. Its such a stylish show, it deserves a better name.

Well, im from Venezuela and they transmit the show here on WB so, i love that channel and every day that I was watching a movie or a serie they would always put a trailer of the next episode of gossip girl, and I was shocked beacause it seemed so good, so I got online and watched all the episodes and then I would watch them all over in te TV because they were so good lol!

Well, i first read the books… some of them… And when it still was at the begining of first season i went on the book’s officail website and there was something realted with a serial based on the books. Si i become interested so began and check on the internet… and after a while i found out about this site from a friend.

Well I first heard about the show in Summer 2008 when Gossip Girl won like 6 categories in the Teen Choice Awards, so I thought “Well it must be good if it’s won 6 awards!!” and decided to give it a go and watched the whole of Season 1 in 2 days . . . Lol. At first I thought it was boring, but then after a few episodes I loved it!

Well I just saw the trailer of it on the TV and then I watched the first episode.. but since my dad watchs TV at the time that GG is aired I couldn’t watch the show so I started to download it.. the first tv show that i downloaded was gossip girl xD now I’m the one that distributes the GG episodes to my friends hahaha and… i came across of this site just searching for spoilers…

i saw it being advertised here in the UK but didnt end up getting into it cos i had exams and didnt want to get obsessed with anything….then like a year later i came across the boxset on amazon and i bought it for the craic and ended up watching the full season in like 2 days ALL DAY. it was then that i became obsessed! and cos the UK is like 10 episodes behind i was so annoyed but then i came across this glorious site and never looked back

I left the tv on and when I came home it was on Gossip Girl. The episode where Blair and Serena have their cotillion. The music caught my attention and I watched the end of the episode and then went and found the series online. Been hooked even since.
