Hey guys, just about a week ago I went to a library and took out a gossip girl book with Bree Buckley in it.

I found out from my favorite site Wikipedia that Bree was introduced in the book ‘Only in your dreams’. I went out and got it and now I have finished the book.

In the book she first meets Dan where Dan works at the famous Strand bookstore over the summertime since they had recently graduated from high school. She first asks Dan for a copy of a book called ‘Siddhartha’ since her yoga teacher highly recommended it. After Dan retrieves the book for her Bree promises she will be back in a few days once she is done with the book.

Later in the week Bree sees Dan again except this time with a cigarette in his hand. Dan quickly lied that he was holding it for a guy and stubbed it. Bree then confesses that she didn’t just come to see Dan to talk books, she asks Dan out on a date to go to Bikram. Dan agreed to go not realizing that Bikram was Bree’s yoga class. On the day of the “date” Dan didn’t wear exercise clothes since he didn’t know it was yoga. Bree didn’t seem to mind since Bree’s yoga teacher keeps the heat high for evening sessions, and they usually ended up going naked. Dan stubbornly kept his boxer shorts on making himself stand out since everyone else was completely naked.

On the next “date” Dan met up with Bree for a jog on the sidewalk for about two miles. That was about it.

When Dan and Bree were rollerblading together they stumbled upon Vanessa who was babysitting two boys for eighteen bucks an hour.

On Dan and Bree’s final date Dan took Bree to the old-school blowout party. Dan was finding Bree a little irritating when Bree didn’t like parties because of the noise and how Bree wouldn’t drink with constant reasons related to mind, body and her yoga. Bree caught Dan smoking and got mad. Dan didn’t seem to mind since the nonsense talk Bree said about her spirits, her yoga and her mind and body drove him crazy.

I see why they are starting a casting call for Bree Buckley now. In the TV show they had recently graduated from school and Dan and Bree in the books meet over the summer after the graduation. Honestly I hate Bree. She needs to fricking shut the heck up about her stupid yogi and pay attention to Dan. I don’t think Bree comes back in the other books and I’m glad for that. You should read ‘only in your dreams’ anyways since I only talked about the chapters with Bree.
