I don’t love it. There’s way too much black going on. And with the yellow and black plaid shirt, she ultimately looks like a bumblebee. I think the earrings are a bit too much. Maybe a darker navy pair of skinny jeans, a different color for the plaid shirt, and a crossbody clutch made of suede would have been better. Not to sound critical, but this outfit is more Average Jane than amazing.

God you lot are so picky! This is NOT grunge for one. Two, she is simply wearing black skinny jeans (a fashion staple for the past, I don’t know, SIX or so years) and the chequered shirt think is everywhere at the moment, with black suade heels. An altogether pretty standard look right now…nothing too edgy nor classic per se.
I doubt they ALWAYS have a stylist to dress them everywhere they go, in reality it’s actually rather acceptable to dress yourselves and throw on whatever in your wardrobe and still look half decent.
But oh no, there’s always some people who have to nit pick on the tiniest things, i.e. ‘gold lining on the clutch’, ‘the earrings are too much’, etc. etc.
Oh and another thing that hints that this is thrown together is the fact that she has a messy bun…those things always look better when you don’t plan them! Just shove your hair up and voila.

They’re not paid to look good 24-7; you know those pictures seen in magazines with celebrities with no make-up and looking dishevelled? Yeah, sure the big $s are rolling in for that promotion of ‘natural-looking’ make-up.

@ Sophia, it’s one thing to say lay off to me when I criticise your ‘writing’ but don’t be so hypocritical when what you do is a constant criticism on your blog here. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out, however, I’m not being personal towards you.

I find it incredibly arrogant to criticise celebrities constantly – these people are not gods, they are regular people just like you and I; they do not exude excellence nor do they look perfect all of the time – the invention of the airbrush has warped our perception of perfection.

If you honestly believe that because they’re on TV that they deserve to be treated with absolutely no respect then you deserve the same treatment yourselves. Next time you step out of your front door, imagine having your photo taken 100 times unexpectedly. One photo could be a slightly unflattering angle and then all of a sudden you’re fat/pregnant/anorexic/pale/orange etc. etc. Step outside of your heads ladies and actually think about others in a positive light for a change.

Oh and @ Arushi, telling someone to f*ck themselves when you’re a moderator really doesn’t set a nice tone; you’re supposed to set an example, darling.

Did I mention Sophia personally in my first comment? No, if you read it properly you’d see that I addressed a general population of people who criticise what people are wearing. Also, I did not ‘trash’ it, it’s something similar to what I have worn personally in the past so I don’t think it needs glorifying or scrutiny.

Oh boo hoo, you’re not paid for being a moderator – newsflash, some things are voluntary stop sounding like a whiny bitch.

Regarding your final comment, I argued both sides of the point. They aren’t amazing human beings nor do they deserve to be treated as a sub-species to be leeched onto like parasites. What I said was that they normal people like me and you.

I blew it up because the basis of the argument was flawed…yes you said you liked it, but there were comments on this page that were being so picky. Like I said, it wasn’t a personal attack on your or Arushi but when you both bit back, that’s when I blew this thing up

In case you hadn’t noticed, this is not a rant – a perfectly civilized debate without any swearing or personal arguments. There is not need to get so passionate about it.

And you’re not the only person who takes pride in your appearance; I wear heels every single day of my life, so much so that my feet now hurt if I wear flat shoes. Beauty is pain!
