Just found photos of the lovely Leighton Meester at the Emmy Awards! She looks stunning, as usual. But there is just one thing I am a little disappointed about…

Actress Leighton Meester arrives at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awar

Well, Personally, I am in love, love, love! with this white Bottega Veneta dress! It suits her figure amazingly and the detailed shoulder knots adds a nice twist(no pun intended) haha.
But I am surprisingly not as satisfied this time with her choices of accesories!
I think that the clutch(also Bottega Veneta) maybe are a little too much for the elegance of the dress. I think this might also applies for the earrings.
I think that, because this dress is so long and has alot more detail on the top, particularly the shoulders, you dont need anything on the ears that gives a statement because the dress is the gorgeous piece that doesnt need anymore added to it…maybe apart from the wrist cuffs which i think were an excellent choice btw!
Its just the clutch that for some reason annoys me!

As I said…I love Cathy Waterman wrist cuffs! lovely, but i think that they are the only accessories that should have been put with this ensemble! Dont get me wrong, everything else is beautiful!

Overall, I probably would have worn the beautiful wrist cuffs alone and paired them with matching golden stud earrings to help keep the outfit together. I would have probably ditched the clutch because my opinion is that it ruins that perfect elegance of the dress! (Even though the clutch is still beautiful)
I totally get where Leighton or her stylist were coming from but I think they missed the mark just a little:(

Leighton also wore Roger Vivier shoes which we cannot see in these photos:)

Overall, Leighton still looks amazing and has pulled it off! The dress is gorgeous and the wrist cuffs are devine!:)

Okay I am so sorry Leighton fans, but get your head out of her ass.
It’s EVIDENT that Blake’s dress OWNED Leighton’s to anyone who knows the F of fashion.
So don’t just be biased and say Leighton looks better bc you usually like her better.

The two ensembles are totally different. Blake looked slutty with all that chest and thigh popping out, her hair was WTF, it was like there’s a horn growing out of her head and her hair is wound into a rope. I also think the red lips are too strong.

I like this timeless, elegant, classy look more than Blake’s party-animal look, who actually dresses as if she is Serena in season 1.

the dress is lovely altho i like Blake’s better…
the wrist cuffs r too much i think… idk i just don’t like it..
the bag doesn’t bug me as much as the lipstick..
she looks like she did her make up in the dark .. no good

Haha, Sharon you really crack me up, cuz while you go on about how horrible blake’s hair was – unless your blind – look at leightons – its not much better. But its ok that most of the fashion experts think blake’s was better but if you think it’s leighton, than it must be cuz cmon your opinion is sooo much more valid and thoughtful…haha grow up … where the hell do u see a horn?

Leighton’s dress had potential but i think she killed it with the make up and the accessories. honestly both blake and leighton had their positives and negatives – i just think blake was better dressed, because ya the dress was partially “slutty” but it wasn’t liek omg first celeb to wear it, others have worn it too and she actually has the body for it and most of all she wore better make up and access. to it, so for me it was Blake

its pointless arguing who looked better in their dresses and which make up or accessories are right. who looked like blah and who was superb.

both leighton and blake tried looking their best for the emmys. but its not all the time that they should look so perfect at all occassions. end of story

Perhaps it’s just the lighting, but Leighton’s face seems to look older. And more tired. Must be the eye make up? Other than that, i think she’s fine. Those great eardrops show off her neck perfectly. But i still prefer Blakes look Aren’t stars wearing red recently?
