Do you recall the MTV Movie Awards that took place on June 3rd? I do, not just because Russel Brand blew the roof off with his comical jokes but the red carpet was once again spectacular. I have to be honest, I did prefer Leighton’s look last year. Do you remember? The stunning and glittering Balmain dress with long sleeves and strappy heels were amazing. I also died for the hair, ombre galore and no bangs.

This year Leighton chose a more casual look, mainly because she wasn’t nominated. Leighton wore a Christian Cota design accessorized with Brian Atwood heels, Neil Lane jewels and a Jimmy Choo bag. It’s very in season! The crisp white with a pastel print and the nude colored accessories create a fantastic color scheme. Leighton has fantastic legs so of course she would wear short shorts and some fabulous suede pumps to make them stand out. My favorite is the cardigan. It’s soft and light and flows nicely. The big pockets are a nice addition. The accessories match the heels perfectly. The clutch being beige and the bangles gold, I would say it’s a success. The hair I don’t very much care for. I know I’ve said it a hundred times and I will continue doing so until the hair changes, these bangs need to be removed. She doesn’t have the face to uphold bangs or pull them off for that matter. I do like the lighter color though, it suits her very well. The ponytail is also super cute and fresh but for this look I would have liked to see it down. I do love her make-up though! The bright orange lip pops against the very light colors of the outfit and the eyeshadow is not as dark but still darker than for it to pass as a daily make-up look.
