Leighton Meester has sported many a different hair color during the Gossip Girl seasons, but it’s never been much lighter than a brown…but with change approaching for Leighton (she’s endorsing a new line of hair products for Herbal Essences) and summer right around the corner, this darling diva decided that highlights are the new black.

I love Leighton no matter how her hair is, but I must admit I thought she looked best with the darker hair. Even so, this new, fresher looking Leighton is not so bad at all! What do you think?

Reddish highlights–flirty but serious

Dark hair–totally sophisticated look

Very light–I think she looks a bit young and washed out
