Chace Crawford in British Glamour Magazine

Having looked dreamy at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, Chace Crawford donned a pair of sunnies and a low key outfit for a stroll around West Hollywood the next day. You can get your fix of the Gossip Girl star as often as you want when the show’s DVD is released later this month, but if that’s too far away then pick up a copy of the September edition of British Glamour, out tomorrow, as Chace has turned agony uncle to answer the magazine’s readers’ dilemmas. Here are the highlights:

* Will a bloke lose respect for me if I sleep with him on the first date? How long should I wait? “Only if you stay for breakfast! The problem is not so much respect, but that you’ve taken away the mystery, so you have to become elusive. Try recreating the scene in Top Gun where Tom Cruise leaves before Kelly McGillis wakes up, but puts a paper plane on her pillow. I like a girl who keeps me on my toes, so I’d say wait for about a month before giving up the goods.”

* I’m going on a first date soon and I’m panicking that I’ll mess it up. What are the deal breakers? “Where do I start? An obnoxious laugh, swearing like a sailor, bad breath, breaking wind, getting blackout drunk, talking about your exes. It’s a long list!”
* How can I tell if I’ve finally met my soulmate? “Good question. I believe we all have a handful of soulmates. I’ve just read a book called Blink by Malcolm Gladwell that says you know within ten minutes of talking to someone if you have that attraction. The most important thing to me is someone who makes me laugh. I know that’s cheesy, but really it’s not as complicated as you think.”
