Ah, the Delightfully devious Blair is back on my screen. How I’ve missed you, but you look different somehow… Is that a chip in you armour I see? A chip named Chuck Bass perhaps?

Welcome everyone, to the first review of the season, I hope I live up your high hopes as readers! So we’ve been waiting for this moment for months now and I don’t think it disappointed, however, the previews from CW made Serena seem like so much more of a vixen than she actually was. I was disappointed… but not so much that the rest of the cast (with the exception of Jenny “don’t you love my ugly dress” Humphreys) couldn’t lift my spirits. Isn’t our Nate a bad bad boy?(and our not so Lonely Boy for that matter) I for one, loved his shaggy haired turn. He was so blah with Blair but now he’s all, grown, up.

Speaking of Blair, the bitch is back and her snark is directed at one Chuck Basstard (that was SO much better than ‘Mother Chucker’… I nearly threw a shoe at the TV when she said that but decided not to when Chuck Basstard was added.) who made me feel 100% sorry for him with his “I’m about to cry” looks and sweet sweet slicked back hair (then there was those shirts… was there an iron pattern one one of them? Weird, but sexy). If only he could have said the L word he could have worn Blair’s heart on his sleeve rather than watch her go off with the brittish lord. Which, personally, I would have much preferred. Bleck to this lord storyline, I feel it will end very very badly.

Lastly, to little Eric… what the hell? Jenny was 100% bitch (and not in the good Blair way) to you for much of last season but one phone call ’3 months too late’ and you’re taking her to a party so she can use you and show off her ugly little designs?? Go spend more time with Chuck! Perhaps find yourself a PI to have on your speed dial.

Overall

The Good: Blair and her devious plans, although not Blair and her Lord; Chuck with slicked back hair (it made up for the beach scene at the start *shudders*); Nate and shaggy hair having a little fun of his own; Serena looking gorgeous in her White Party dress… goddess much?; Dan getting his thing on… ohh, and Dan wearing a white singlet oh man!

The Bad: Everything about Jenny’s stupid storyline… that dress was disgusting Little J! Chuck not saying the L word and letting Blair go; and lastly, Mother Chucker… yeck!

Everything else in between: There was so much good and only a little bad in this episode… I missed not seeing Lily but I suppose not everyone could be out in the Hamptons, like poor Vanessa… she would have looks beautiful at the White Party! I can’t wait to see how the season progresses and if Chuck will always look so darn fantastic!

So, readers, this is my first try! Be kind, but tell me what you want… should I snark less… snark more? Call everyone but their first initials? I’m sure I’m missing a lot, do you want more of a structure so you actually have an idea of what happened? Or is abstract gushing ok?
