Hey people!

She’s on a roll, isn’t she? Just days after her controversial statement about Haiti (which I posted about here-http://www.gossip-girl-episodes.com/news/taylor-doesnt-care-about-haiti-and-might-leave-gossip-girl.html), she said…

“To be honest, I don’t f—ing care,I didn’t get into this to be a role model. So I’m sorry if I’m influencing your kids in a way that you don’t like, but I can’t be responsible for their actions. I don’t care.”

While I definitely don’t blame her for thinking that way (I personally feel people put too much pressure on teen celebs to live their life a certain way, just to please their adolescent fans), I think she could’ve put it more … charismatically?

She’s messing up her own reputation because judging from comments on other sites, while I don’t mind this as much as the Haiti issue, there are tons who will.

Well…I get what she’s trying to say and I even think it’s true that too much pressure is being put on celebrities and stuff…

…but on the other hand: if she says stuff like that publicly then she has to expect people reacting to it. That’s part of the deal. And the whole ‘not-caring thing’ was what got her in trouble in the first place, wasn’t it?

I agree with you. BUT, I think that when you (Like Kathrin said) get into this business, you can’t just not care. You can’t go on a tv show, that young girls watch, and not expect to become a role model.

I’m a big fan of hers, and I felt a little bit hurt when I she said this. Like she didn’t ask to become famous, and didn’t care. But yeah, I still love her – it’s just… weird.

I just think she could’ve worded it better. There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to be a role model. But this was unnecessary.

I think her attitude is normal for a 16year-old-spoiled-girl. At that age you really shouldn’t give a damn about what’s politicaly correct or not. If she wants to have that rock-chick-i-make-my-stuff-and-really-don’t-care-attitude so be it, most of teens at her age do (with or without her example).
I’m noy saying it’s good, i’m saying she’s right. If teens want to do it her way they will, if not hers then some other actress/singer who has that attitude. I guess most of us would if we had her money and freedom.

@Sasha- Nobody knows anything for sure and the CW hasn’t confirmed anything but there are reports that the producers are irked by her showing up late and lashing out and stuff. But you never know.

@ioana- I don’t know. There are plenty of people more famous than her who don’t. Emma Watson,for example. Or even Blake or Leighton or Jessica.
